Surging North County Sweeps Post 201
Worcester, MA --Russell Wiley chased home the winning run in the completion of game one while Brad Bousquet went 4-for-4 and
yielded one hit in the first five innings of game two as North County (Gardner Post 129) won its fifth and sixth game in three days
with a 6-5 (9 inn.) and a 8-0 decision over East Side Post 201 in a key Massachusetts American Legion Baseball Zone 4 set at Tivnan
Field on Monday night.
The first game, which began on June 11 at Stone Field in Gardner, was suspended due to darkness with the teams tied 5-5 heading into
Pat Gallagher reached on a one-out single to right center before North County spun a 6-4-3 double play to get out of the top of the
ninth. In the bottom of the stanza, Post 129 loaded the bases with one out. Steve Albert then notched his second strikeout before
Wiley put the ball into play and an infield miscue enabled Josiah LeBlanc to cross home plate for Post 129's first victory over East
Side since a 2-1 (9 inn.) triumph on July 2, 2007.
Erik Lacaire was 3-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored. Jono Crimmin and Gallagher batted 2-for-4. Sean Murphy drove in a
pair and T.J. Cameroyt scored twice. Dezi Garcia and Cameroyt each drew a pair of walks. East Side saw five pitchers take to the
hill including Matt Kachadoorian,
Jonathan Gonzalez and Albert.
George Thornton went 2-for-2 with three walks, an RBI and a run scored. Bousquet and Cam Brown each batted 2-for-4 while
LeBlanc was 2-for-5 with an RBI and two runs scored. Seth Leslie walked twice and Dan Jackson pitched in with two RBI. LeBlanc
struck out four in the first four frames and Matt Seward fanned six in the final five.

In addition to Bousquet tossing a one-hitter through five, Seward came on to pitch a hitless two innings for Post 129.
Cameroyt had the hit for East Side, a double to center field in the third. Crimmin, Murphy and Garcia each walked for Post 201.
Albert picked up where he left off and went the first three innings and finished the night with five Ks. Dario Tarquinio and Crimmin
each threw two innings of relief.
Bousquet also had three RBI and two runs scored while Seward was 1-for-1 with a run scored. Tim Bouchard (2 RBI) and Tyler
Perry (2 runs) each had a 2-for-4 outing to go along with a 2-for-5 night by Trevor Brown. Andy Polcari chipped in with a pair of
North County scored in five of the seven innings and accumulated 13 hits along the way.
East Side (9-14) wraps up its season on Tuesday with a trip to Fino Field to face Milford at 7pm. North County (10-10) resumes a
suspended game againt Main South at 4pm with the two teams meeting again at 5:30 for the regularly scheduled contest.
