Post 201 Rallies Past Sturbridge to Snap Four-Game Skid

Worcester, MA ---Jono Crimmin used a bases-clearing triple in the fifth to push East Side Post 201 into the lead as the Raiders
rallied from a 6-0 deficit to post a 10-6 triumph over Sturbridge Post 109 on Friday night in a Massachusetts American Legion
Baseball contest at Tivnan Field.

East Side improved to 4-5 while Sturbridge, who was looking for its first win over the Raiders since at least 2006* (16 games)
dipped to 1-7.

Trailing 6-0 heading into the bottom of the fourth,
Jonathan Gonzalez sent a hit through the right side to deliver the first two East
Side runs in the form of
Matt Kachadoorian and Erik Lacaire.

The Raiders exploded for five more in the fifth beginning with an RBI single to right center by
Sean Murphy. Later in the frame T.J.
Camoreyt
chased home Murphy with a knock to center. Crimmin followed with the three-run double to give East Side the 7-6
advantage.

Post 201 tacked on three insurance tallies in the sixth as
PJ Barry scampered home on a wild pitch and Dezi Garcia scored on an RBI
single by Lacaire. Kachadoorian made it an even 10 with a run-producing double to left center.

On the defensive side of the house,
Nick Cardillo, Lacaire and Steve Albert each threw an inning of no-hit baseball to keep
Sturbridge off the board in the fifth, sixth and seventh.

Sturbridge struck for two runs in the third behind a sacrifice fly to left by
Ian Wetherbee and a sacrifice foul out by Brady
Ravenelle
. The guests increased their lead with a four-run fourth. Nick Lane scored on a throw from the outfield on a single by Jack
Sullivan
. Jared Richard scored on a wild pitch and Ben Mondor plated Sullivan with a ground out. Ravenelle capped the outburst
with an RBI single to center field.

Garcia and Lacaire each had a 2-for-3 night at the dish and combined for five runs scored. Crimmin and Gonzalez teamed up for five of
the nine East Side RBI.
Dario Tarquinio struck out two in his debut on the mound for Post 201.

Ravenelle (two RBI) and Sullivan (two runs) both went 2-for-3 for Sturbridge.
Kody Murphy, Alex Augustine and Brennon
McMullen
all saw time on the hill for Post 109.

East Side entertains Northboro tomorrow night at 7pm at The Lake while Sturbridge hosts Leominster at 1:30pm.
