Raiders Blank Grafton Hill, 7-0, in Regular Season Finale

Worcester, MA ---Steve Albert yielded two hits over six scoreless innings as East Side Post 201 blanked visiting Grafton Hill Post 323,
7-0, in the final game of the 2013 Massachusetts American Legion Baseball Zone 4 regular season slate on Sunday night at Tivnan Field
at Lake Park.

With the win, East Side improves to 21-9 overall and finishes 18-8 in zone play for the second straight season. The Raiders return to
American Legion action on Thursday, August 8 in the Northeast Regional being held in Middletown, CT. Post 201, making its second
appearance in three years, will face the Vermont representative at approximately 12:30pm at William Pomfret Stadium at Palmer Field.

Grafton Hill, meanwhile, ends the regular season 14-12 and will head to top-seeded Milford Post 59 tomorrow night for game one of the
Phil Samko Zone 4 Playoffs. First pitch is slated for 7pm at Fino Field.

Tim Brutto (two doubles, four runs) and Nate Frederick each batted 2-for-3 for East Side while Mike Piekarczyk and Mike Woll
accounted for both Grafton Hill hits. Albert (3-0) went four and two-thirds before allowing the first Post 343 hit of the night.

closed out the game for the Raiders.

East Side plated a run in each of the first three innings. Nate Frederick chased home Brutto with a single to left center in the first.  One
inning later,
Jack Riley used an RBI ground out to bring in Regan Aghdam. Brutto scampered home as a result of a double play in the
third.

Post 201 doubled its run total in the fifth. Brutto and
Joe Consolmagno began the frame with back-to-back doubles for the initial run.
Jonathan Gonzalez later drove in Consolmagno with a pinch hit RBI single to right field. Nate Frederick made it 6-0 in favor of the
Raiders when he touched home on a wild pitch.

The hosts tacked on one more in the sixth as Brutto crossed home plate on another Post 323 wild pitch.

Matt Kachadoorian and Ryan Belinskas each saw time on the bump for Grafton Hill.
