Raiders Rally Past North County, 14-8

Worcester, MA --- Nate Frederick batted 4-for-5 with two singles, two doubles, two RBI and three runs scored to pace East Side Post
201 in a 14-8  come-from-behind triumph over host North County (Gardner Post 109) in an American Legion Zone 4 regular season
baseball game at Stone Field. The Raiders sit at 16-4 overall and 15-4 in zone action heading into Thursday's National Bound State
Tournament quarterfinal contest against Walpole Post 104 to open the eight-team single elimination tournament at Holy Cross. First
pitch is slated for 9:30am.

Down 6-2 heading into the third,
Zach Zona drew a bases loaded walk to begifour run frame. Cam Frederick then singled to center field
to chase home Nate Frederick while a miscue on the plat also enabled
Jonathan Gonzalez to score. Zona later tied the game as he touched
the plate following a sacrifice fly off the bat of
Jimmy Smith.

Post 201 took the lead for good in the fourth as Nate Frederick took advantage of an outfield miscue when
Brandon O'Connor singled to
left.

The Raiders then put the game out of reach with a five run fifth. Smith scored on an infield miscue while Nate Frederick and O'Connor
each plated a run on an RBI single. O'Connor eventually swiped home as part of a double steal and
Erik Lacaire, pinch running for Zona,
scampered home on a wild pitch.

East Side and North County each had a two-run sixth. Post 201's Consolmagno smashed a two-run homer to right field as Poat 109's
Bradley Bousquet lifted a sacrifice fly to right and Mitch Ryan found an opening on the left side of the infield for an RBI single.

Regan Aghdam plated the first run of the game on a ground out in the top of the first. Nate Frederick followed with an RBI ground rule
double for the early 2-0 lead.

North County sung the score in its favor  in the bottom of the frame. Bousquet and Ryan each crossed home plate on a failed pickoff and
Garrett Twine sent the ball through the right side for a pair of RBI. In the top of the second, Josiah LeBlanc sent in Russ Wiley on a
sacrifice fly and Bousquet touched home on an RBI ground out off the bat of Ryan.

Pat Gallagher picked up the win in his first start - and first appearance - on the hill for East Side. He allowed six runs - three earned - on
six hits with four strikeouts and three walks in five innings. Most of the damage was in the first two innings while Gallagher set down 10
of the final 11 batters he faced. Nate Frederick surrendered two runs on one hit and walked two in the sixth. Lacaire struck out two in a
scoreless seventh.

LeBlanc shouldered the loss while he teamed with
Tyler Perry to strike out four batters.

Consolmagno batted 2-for-4 with two RBI and three runs scored. Smith had a 2-for-3 night with an RBI and three runs scored while
O'Connor pitched in with a 2-for-4 outing with and RBI and a run.

Bousquet and Ryan went 2-for-3 at the dish and combined for three RBI and three runs scored. Twine added a pair of RBI as Wiley
crossed home plate twice.

North County (3-17) heads to Northbridge on Friday for a 5:30 tilt.

NOTE: Thursday's regular season game between East Side and Shrewsbury has been postponed and will be made up at a later date.
