East Side Wins Ninth-Straight With 15-6 Decision Over Framingham in Five

Worcester, MA --- Jack Riley and Peter Bovenzi combined to bat 4-for-4 with five RBI and five runs scored as host East Side Post 201
extended its winning streak to nine games with a 15-6 decision in a weather-shortened five-inning American Legion Zone 4 baseball
game on Monday night at Tivnan Field at Lake Park.

The current winning-streak is the longest since a 10-game stretch in 2009 that saw the Raiders win the final seven games of the regular
season and sweep through the sectional tournament after earning a bye in the districts.

Post 201 completed the season sweep over Post 74 and improved to 9-3 while Framingham slipped to 3-6. The Raiders took the First 13
meeting 3-1 this past Thursday at Bowditch Field.

Regan Aghdam drove in two and scored twice and Jimmy Smith recorded an RBI and a run scored as each went 2-for-3 at the dish. Joe
Consolmagno
pitched in with a 1-for-2 outing with two walks and two runs scored while Erik Lacaire also batted 1-for-2 with three
RBI and a run scored. Smith, Aghdam and Lacaire each doubled while Consolmagno, Aghdam and Bovenzi each tripled for East Side.

Framingham's
Andrew Mooney had a 2-for-2 night with a walk, an RBI and a run scored. Greg Hemmer batted 2-for-3 with an RBI
and a run scored while
Matt Cronin added a three-run blast for the guests.

Post 74 scored on a Hemmer single through the right side in the top of the first. In the home-half of the frame, Smith notched his 10th
stolen base of the season to get in scoring position but was stranded following an infield ground out. It would be the first inning East Side
trailed since taking a 4-3 lead in the fifth against Cherry Valley on June 16, a 34-inning stretch.

Post 201 took a 3-1 lead in the second behind a two-run triple by Bovenzi and a sacrifice fly by Lacaire. Framingham answered with three
of its own to take a 4-3 advantage in the third as Cronin cleared the fence with a two-out three-run round tripper.

The Raiders scored seven times in the bottom of the third. Smith dropped an RBI double down the left field line to tie the game before
Aghdam tripled down the right field line to plate two more runs. Following a pitching change and a walk issued to
Nate Frederick the
game was halted for approximately 45 minutes due to rain and lightning.

Riley singled in a run to continue the East Side output following the delay. Frederick came around to score on a wild pitch and Bovenzi
connected on a two-run single. A wild pitch with the bases loaded allowed Bovenxzi to touch home plate for the final run of the stanza.

Mooney drove in a two-out tally with a hit through the left side in the top of the fourth to make it a 10-5 ballgame.

Post 201 added five more runs in the bottom of the fourth beginning with Lacaire's two-run double to center field. An infield miscue with
the bases loaded led to another pair of East Side runners crossing home plate, Consolmagno advanced home on a wild pitch for the hosts
15th run of the night.

Hemmer scored in the fifth courtesy of a fielder's choice put into play by
Marco Ruffo.

Steve Albert (1-0) allowed four runs - three earned - on four hits in the first three innings. Cam Frederick yielded two runs - one earned
- on two hits and struck out two following the delay.
Lee Tarlin, Mark Ruiz and Julian Tamburro combined to strike out four East Side
batters.

The Raiders head to Northboro for a 5:30 non-First 13 game on Wednesday while Framingham hosts Auburn tomorrow at 5:30
